French Beaches
There are many great French beaches, but none quite as spectacular and well known as the French Riviera. Known for attracting movie stars and celebrities, this is truly the beach of the beautiful people. It is not unusual to see gorgeous men and woman driving around in expensive cars or wearing expensive suits and evening gowns to the local casinos. You can find multi-million dollar yachts at the local marinas.
If you plan on visiting the French Riviera beach and accompanying area, you should know a few things before you make plans. At this French beach, you will find many sunbathers who are partially clothed or nude. The French do not have the stigma to nudity that many Americans suffer from and some are taken aback to see people roam the beaches so freely. This does not mean you must sunbathe in the nude, but just be aware that others may be.
The busiest times of the year for this beach are July and August. This means not only enormous crowds, but also higher pricing on everything. It is also the hottest time of the year. If you are planning a beach trip, look at May and June or later in the year such as September and October. It will still be comfortable enough to enjoy, but you will miss the huge crowds and be able to enjoy it much more.
